As the display technology develops rapidly, physical resolution of display screens for television, computers, mobile phones, and other terminals is
upgraded from SD, HD to FHD, UHD 4K, and 8K. In 2015, BOE launched a 10K display screen. However, UHD video resources are so limited that they fail to meet
people’s needs.

So, what embarrassment would it be if a low-resolution video is played on a high-definition display? Imagine, if we stretch a video across the entire screen, pixels will
consequently be magnified simultaneouslysynchronously. Without any special processingtreatment, the picture would looks like a mosaic.

The traditional solution is to embed a linear interpolation algorithm in build into television and other devices an image-processing algorithm based on the linear difference. The linear interpolation difference algorithm is a method means to enhance image resolution by extracting features of adjacent pixels and using “copying” these features to generate new pixels. But it has a lowthe accuracy of this method is low.

Now, BOE launches a new solution to improve the resolution, –the cloud-based image-restoring technology–to improve the resolution. It is an artificial intelligence
system. When processing a low-resolution image, it can automatically identify the image type, extract image features, search for similar features from the cloud, then and
intelligently restore and make up details of the image. Thus, a high-resolution image is generated made. Thise technology can enhance stretch the image sharpness by
eight times without losing sharpness, greatly improving people’s visual experience.

It can be widely applied in face recognition, license plate recognition, and other fields, in order towhich improves enhance the image quality and recognition accuracy.
It can also restore the image quality of a compressed image and enhance the clarity of a blurred image. It enjoys a wide broad application space.
