ONE Vision ONE Goal ONE Action ONE Future

Sustainability Strategy

BOE’s top-level sustainable development strategy planning embodies sustainability at its core. Supported by six strategic pillars—Open Innovation, Environmental Sustainability, Society, Humanity, Responsible Company, and Genesis Field—it establishes a fully integrated framework that connects technological innovation, ESG, and value creation in a cohesive loop.

BOE’s top-level sustainable development strategy design is rooted in Open Innovation as its inherent gene. Beyond addressing the fundamental dimensions of sustainability embodied in ESG, the company draws on its “Nth Curve” theory to advance the forward-looking value proposition of “Genesis Field.” Through sustainable investment, circular economy, and other strategic initiatives, BOE is driving industrial transformation.

The defining feature of BOE’s sustainable development strategy is its value proposition of “Genesis Field,” which breaks down the traditional boundaries between commercial and social value, enabling their deep integration and alignment. BOE is committed to making sustainability a true core competency—serving as a new “Nth Curve” growth engine that drives future business beyond its technology leadership trajectory. This approach supports BOE’s evolution from a global technology leader to a sustainability pioneer, while conveying a consistent and unified value proposition through its “ONE” sustainability brand.

Sustainability Governance

To facilitate the implementation of our sustainability strategy, we have established an organizational structure ranging from the governance and management levels to the execution level. In 2025, we established a dedicated Sustainability Committee and formulated the Rules of Procedure for the Sustainability Committee and Its Composition, aligning the sustainability strategy with our organizational structure to ensure the implementation of every strategic pillar.

BOE Urban Intelligent Perception System Selected as an Excellent Scenario Case in the 2025 Annual Report of the UN-Habitat China Future Cities Advisory Committee

Beijing BOE Sensor Technology Co., Ltd. is committed to building an efficient, resilient, and people-centric urban intelligent sensing system. Adopting end-edge-cloud collaborative technologies, the system enables integrated governance of infrastructure and data resources, achieving dual optimization of resource utilization and service responsiveness. Its core quantitative objectives include reducing the unexpected downtime rate of critical infrastructure and improving operations and maintenance efficiency; shortening response times for assisting vulnerable populations; lowering equipment energy consumption through AI-driven dynamic optimization; enhancing the efficiency of data utilization and multimodal data integration, thereby improving the accuracy of AI models in detecting abnormal events. In November 2025, BOE's intelligent remote sensing monitoring solution was selected as an exemplary practice in the annual report Future Cities Advisory Outlook 2025: Artificial Intelligence and Cities.

BOE Innovation Partner Conference (IPC) 2025 Successfully Held

In September 2025, BOE hosted the Global Innovation Partner Conference (IPC) themed "Empower IoT with Display, AI Ignites the Future", reaching a record-high scale. The conference attracted over 14,000 on-site guests, with 8,076 participants in the forums, representing a year-on-year increase of 52%, covering 1,976 organizations and 261 overseas delegates from 15 countries and regions.

Bringing together 267 experts and scholars, 4,929 partners and 820 supply chain representatives, the event strengthened collaboration across the industrial ecosystem through a 4,000-square-meter innovation exhibition and a series of forums. The total online reach exceeded 90.21 million, and the main forum livestream generated 31.58 million views and interactions, promoting the development of sustainable development partnerships as an innovation platform.

BOE Global Supply Partner Conference (SPC): Jointly Building a Sustainable Supply Chain

In May 2025, BOE held the Global Supply Partner Conference in Qingdao, bringing together more than 1,000 experts and industry representatives. A special roundtable forum titled "Co-thrive in Symbiosis: Exploration and Practice of Sustainable Supply Chain" was held at the conference. BOE, together with Deloitte, Flexium, Shanxi Yuhao, and other partners, shared a “Green + Finance” dual-driven model, supporting the low-carbon transformation of the industrial value chain through supply chain financial services and smart energy solutions.

At the conference, nearly 100 partners were awarded, and strategic cooperation agreements were signed with more than ten partners to jointly promote the green and sustainable development of the display industry.

BOE Led the Release of Group Standard for Ambient Light Display Technology

On September 11, 2025, at the BOE Global Innovation Partner Conference, BOE and the China Video Industry Association jointly released the group standard “Technical Specification for Image Quality Classification of Flat-Panel TVs under Ambient Light.” The release of this standard marks a significant step toward the widespread adoption of ambient light display technology. It addresses a key gap in the industry by establishing a framework for image quality classification and evaluation under real-world ambient lighting conditions, providing clear and unified performance evaluation criteria for image quality grading in the display industry. At the same time, it provides strong momentum for the continued advancement and iteration of high-end display technologies, and will further drive the industry to new levels of image quality performance.

BOE’s UB Cell Wins IFA Global Prouduct Technology Innovation Gold Award

In September 2025, BOE was awarded the “IFA 2025 Global Product Technology Innovation Gold Award 2025” at IFA Berlin with its UB Cell 4.0 display technology. By adopting ultra-fine anti-reflection and anti-scattering technologies, this innovation reduces the screen reflectance to 0.7%, significantly below the industry average, and achieves an ultra-high ambient contrast ratio of 1400:1. It also integrates advanced eye-care features, including circular polarized light technology, pixel-level in-display light sensing, and temperature sensing systems, creating a comprehensive, full-scenario eye-care solution. This breakthrough not only enhances overall image quality performance but also delivers a healthier and more comfortable visual experience through intelligent adjustment of brightness, color temperature, and other parameters, guiding the display industry toward more human-centric and health-oriented innovation.
