BOE and Haier jointly staged the “BOE Innovation Day” event in Qingdao on October 12. At this event, they put on innovative products such as smart kitchen, smart cashier, IoT-based digital art system and flexible display, bringing the smart home solutions marked by human-machine interaction into view.

Today’s home appliances are getting increasingly smarter. Refrigerators and washing machines are no longer merely appliances for storing food and washing clothes, but are gradually becoming control centers, entertainment centers and shopping centers for families. At the event, a smart refrigerator with a 21-inch large screen captured people’s attention. This refrigerator equipped with BOE’s display solution can be used not only to manage food, check recipes, play music or videos, and shop online via touch control and voice instruction, but also to control other home appliances or digital products by connecting them to your mobile phone. It is such smart human-machine interaction that adds “warmth” to a refrigerator.

In the era of the IoT, displays, integrating such functions as touch input and fingerprint recognition, are important devices for information interaction. When using home appliances with displays, people no longer need to rotate any knob or press any button; all you need is a simple click on the screen. The application of displays in appliances is an inevitable trend. At the Innovation Day event, the smart kitchen system consisting of appliances like washing machine, exhaust hood, soy milk maker, and coffee maker, to which BOE’s display solutions are applied, gave visitors on site a direct experience of the great convenience brought by a smart home. BOE also presented a number of its flexible display solutions, such as circular flexible display, flexible display for wristbands, and double-arc-edge flexible display, VR/AR products and IoT-based digital art solution-BOE iGallery. They are all innovative applications of display solutions in the field of smart home.

Building on its IoT strategy featuring “Ecoresystem: Open and Connected”, BOE opens up its application and technology platforms in an all-round way, promotes IT-based innovations across industries, and works with upstream and downstream enterprises to bring brand-new experience to users in smart home, smart transportation, smart retail, smart finance and other areas.
